How to find eternal Happiness?

Have you been looking for eternal real Happiness? Have any of your happiness lasted more than few days? Is there any happiness, like when we think of it makes us cry with joy? Has anyone ever wondered about these questions?

Most of us get happy when someone buys us gifts, gives us something, or when we score high in exams or when we top the entrance examinations, or if someone praises us. But, have you ever considered the fact that this happiness has ever lasted more than few days? Probably No! Because these are not real happiness. It fades away very fast than we can ever imagine. Even though we might have thought before we achieve this happiness, that this thing will make me happy very much for a lifetime. But, as soon as you get it, you will realize that it fades over time and we will be in search of the next happiness. 

There are some kinds of happiness that stay in our hearts forever and ever. I realized this through an incident in my life. Later, when I think about it it makes me happy so much that I am in cloud 9.

One day in college, I was having my lunch in a classroom after finishing my exams. The junior students were having another exam after the lunch break. My exams were over; and after having lunch, I had decided to go to do my project in a lab. Many junior students were there studying for the next exam in the class. At that time the teacher who was the invigilator for the exam held in the classroom said she lost her mobile phone in the class. Everyone started searching the desks, chairs in the class. They were keeping on trying to reach her phone. It was ringing but no one was answering the call. The teacher was very desperate to find her phone. Her father was sick and she wanted to know how he is and at that time she lost the mobile.

Everyone was trying out desperately to find the mobile, but no results. All of a sudden, the girl who was sitting in front of me stood up and went to the teacher. She told the teacher that by mistakingly she had taken her mobile in place of her own mobile. During exams, the student's mobiles were asked to keep on the desk. So, at that time she took the teacher's mobile by mistake. The phone was kept in vibration mode. The girl noticed the vibration of the phone from her pouch much later. 

Even though the girl was crying was saying this to the teacher, the teacher was very furious. She was not listening to her. She started scolding her saying that she should have searched beforehand itself. Her father was sick and she needed to know about it. She stole the phone knowingly etc. While I was hearing these, I know that for the girl it will have felt the fire to the wounded. 

The teacher went away from the class and the girl was left crying. Her classmates approached her and said don't cry. But she was not listening and was only saying she didn't steal the phone. After some time, a teacher came to her and tried to calm her down by comforting her. But, she couldn't succeed doing that. Again the teacher who shouted came to calm her down. But there was nothing that could calm her down. The teacher also left after her trying. Her classmates were there, asking her to study for the exam and forget what had happened. But she was never heeding her ears or eyes to them.

While I was watching all these, my mind kept asking questions. Shall I go and comfort her? But will I be able to comfort her? I don't know her so how will I comfort her? Well, after some rambling with my mind, I thought I will just try! But how shall I approach her?

I approached her by taking my water bottle and sat next to her and asked her to drink water. I told her there was no mistake on her part. I looked at her, patted her head, and said it is okay. This could happen to anyone at any time. She told me she don't have the mood to study for the exam. I asked her then, can I teach her? Believe me, when I asked her the question I was actually not ready to teach her. I really didn't have the idea about that. I just said that to comfort her. But, she was lit up on my words. So, she opened her book to study. She told me some of the important topics. Since she was my junior student, the subject she was learning was the same as what I learned a year ago. So, I thought then I will give it a try.

Even though I tried teaching her through her notes I was not able to explain her correctly reading her notes. It's hard for me to follow others' notes. I prefer learning the notes I make and explaining them to others. But, here I don't have my previous years' notes to explain to her. While teaching her, she said there is an extra set of some notes to learn for the exam. She gave me that to teach her.

I was shocked and relieved with happiness when I saw the notes. As it is said if we try the Universe also tends in your favor, which is what just happened to me. Those notes were the copies of my notebook!!!  With my notes, I explained to her the important topics. It was easy to navigate my notes. She had calmed down by then, and she was eagerly learning for the exam. Also, her friends came to me for asking their doubts. At this point, my mind was filled with joy when I found out she was calmed down and learning for the exam. I have succeeded in what I wanted!

When I was about to leave, after teaching her, she holds my hand and says "Because of you I was able to learn for the exam!".  I smiled. I was on cloud 9 when I heard these words! It made me very happy and I cherish this moment every time in my life. 

When we make others happy, the happiness which we get is called eternal happiness!! So, let's make this world a better place by making everyone happy.
